Formerly, the typography settings were in the theme settings, but after the last update this has changed. You can make your typography and font settings on your site from the Dashboard > Settings > Easy Google Fonts page, not from the theme panel. You can learn how to do it from the tutorial below.
Step 1 – Navigate to the WP Dasboard Menu > Settings > Easy Google Fonts page.
Step 2 – Create your font controls with reference to the video guide below on this page.
Enter a tite for your control in the ‘Font Control Name’ field and enter class selectors in the ‘Font Control CSS Selectors’ field. You can learn main CSS selectors below list. These class(es) will determine which areas of the font you choose in this control affect.
Settings for Pocco Theme:
- Header: .ppt-header
- Footer: .ppt-footer
- Body: body
- Heading: .ppt-heading
If there’s another class you need, don’t hesitate to ask our support team.
Step 3 – Save the changes.
Step 4 – Navigate to the Appearance > Customize page.
Step 5 – Open the ‘Typography’ section. Here you will see the controls you have created. You can customize the fonts of your website.
This is a tutorial video for the WordPress google fonts plugin called Easy Google Fonts.
This plugin allows you to take full control of your theme’s typography in any WordPress theme (no coding required). It allows you to choose from all available google fonts and font variants to insert into your website without coding.
It also allows you to preview font changes on your website in realtime using the WordPress customizer, allowing you to preview what your theme will look like with the new google fonts before you save any changes.
